A Light in the Darkness

This is a very long, multi-part fic.  This is definitely an AU (Alternate Universe) fanfic. There were some theories we had wanted to explore in the DBZ universe, and this was our way of exploring these ideas.  There is no way that this could possibly be considered canon, and we have no intention of it being so.  There's lemon in this fic, a lot of it, considering that the main (initial) focus is the Bulma/Vegeta romance.  There's a lot more to this fic, though. If you've been following it for a while, you'll be aware that it's an unabashed Yamcha fic (yes, B&V are major players, but it's still about him), with a focus on what it is to be Saiyan, and how one might react if one learned he was something he never expected.

Later chapters are posted to my Mailing List before they are posted here.  You may go there to check for later chapters than I have posted here, since I always post them there first.

If you don't like anything that doesn't follow exactly what happened in the anime/manga, then please don't read this chapter or any of the following ones, yadda yadda yadda... Oh, and before you flame us that we're doing these characters OOC, keep in mind that this is AU, because we're playing with some ideas we have of the DBZ universe that never got explored in the series. Like what we're doing to poor Yamcha-chan. And yes, we're quite serious about it....

If you don't like AU, please don't read this. We're not writing this to offend anyone, and we aren't going to change what we're doing for anyone's 'wants'. We can't - the story is completely written, it's just not completely beta'd yet. So we are not influenced by what readers want and don't want. We're writing this for us, first and foremost. You can enjoy it if you want, and if you don't like it, then do what you would do with any novel that you don't like; stop reading it, put it down, and check a different one out of the library.
