actually that's not true. I was at work when I wrote part of it but I made
no money off of this story, it just kept me occupied for long hours.
A romantic tale of love, honour, betrayal, reincarnation, and entwined souls.
Authors Notes and Explanations.
The very rough form of this story appeared as a part of Adimra's Fanfiction contest. But I didn't like how incomplete it felt. So I added a few parts and fleshed out several scenes, mostly in the present day timeline.
I really want to thank Mia Skywalker for Beta'ing this for me. I know I've said it before, but she is an excellent writer and good influence on me. This is my first attempt at writing a lemon. I will honestly admit that I learned part of how to write a sex scene from both reading and beta'ing some of her fics.
Now on to some of the more mundane explanations.
I deliberately did not identify which characters were which in the past-life regressions. But for those of you still confused here is the list.
Helen of Troy - Bulma
Paris - Vegeta
Meneleaus - Yamcha
I know I left out several key points in the story. One Helen has a daughter by Meneleaus and the other key issue I left out was Helen is an immortal. She is the daughter of Zeus and Leda and her twin brothers are Castor and Pollux.
This idea for the story came to me after reading three completely unrelated stories on very short succession. The first is Mythic Descent by Dragoness Eclectic. This story reminded me of the whole idea of reincarnation, which happens in DBZ when a soul has not led a good enough of a life to warrant heaven but isn't bad enough to deserve hell. The second story is Remembrance by Jude Devereaux. A very sweet story about a romance writer who is looking for her true love and has to go back in time to right the wrongs done in one of her past lives (Yes I stole my title from hers, but could you think of a better one?). The final story is The Golden Drum by an author whose name I forget (it's in a book of short stories). It is also the story of reincarnation and finding your true love after fate cruelly separates you.
I also decided to try something a little different an Exploration of non-linear and linear story telling combined. The Modern day timeline is linear and the Trojan War is non-linear. Since its story is more well known, I felt that I could break it up like I did and not confuse my readers too much.
